Summary/Abstract: The subject of the study are microtroponyms from Western Bulgaria, formed by or with the participation of a hydrographic term. This is a small part of the water-naming objects and related with water objects, which are preserved in the Bulgarian microtoponymy collected during the time. The analysis is based on the etymological and the areal method, as well as on information about their geographical distribution and their reflection in the microtoponymy of Western Bulgaria.
