Collocations with the adjective krupan

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with determining the collocational range of the adjective krupan in selectively chosen data from the Corpus of Contemporary Serbian Language (CCS). The subject matter of the research are collocations with the aforementioned adjective in the data set consisting of 250 examples. Examples are categorized according to the semantics of the primary collocate which is always a noun, in this case. The method applied in the paper is the collocational method. The primary aim is to specify to what extent adjective krupan determines nouns of semantic categories observed in the selected data. Besides that, another aim is to determine to what extent this adjective occurs with nouns with categorial feature animate [+], as well as to compare the representation of the meanings listed in Dictionary of the Serbian language with meanings occurring in the examples, and to determine their representation in the selected corpus. Results obtained are given as percentage.
