Summary/Abstract: The article shows factors that influence the process of a child’s adaptation to the kindergarten conditions. It shows how the preschool environment determines this process, and how the independence of the child and its level of development are related to the adaptation process. The paper shows the difficulties that a child may experience at the beginning of its adaptation to preschool education.
