LA FORCE HUMORISTIQUE DES PHRASÉOLOGISMES ROUMAINS
THE HUMORIST FORCE OF ROMANIAN PHRASEOLOGISMS

Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the way in which language resources are exploited in order to obtain humorous effects. The analysis starts from a couple of theoretical observations regarding the evaluation of verbal humor. The first part brings into focus a couple of Romanian phraseologisms, whose humorous values are to be investigated by following some indices included in the interpretive model proposed by Rodica Zafiu for the evaluation of verbal humor. The second part of the paper switches the focus on the mechanisms of humorous construction in the journalistic text; the application is made on titles of newspaper articles which make use of restructured phraseologisms.
