THE SHAPE OR THE SPERMATIKOS LOGOS

Summary/Abstract: Forma, Form, Forme, Gestalt is a millenary concept with multiple attributes, the ancient Eidos, a metaphysical notion that both Plato and Aritotle relied on. Form is a type of nucleus or essence that encompasses seemingly morphologic information which is passed on from one generation tot the next. It is the proof of homogeneity as well as of the structural and organizational unity of the biologic, psychological and artistic dimensions of our world. Form is the one that systematizes, renders meaning to all things, it is a potential state inscribed onto nature. It can become visible in various contexts, including the artistic ones, due to the ability of the artist to notice, distinguish and retrieve it.
