Summary/Abstract: The article describes the results of the research analysis involving 80 Web sites of open access journals available on the Academic Journals Platform which is a part of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Press. What was the author’s objective here was the attempt at answering the question whether the said sites comply with Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, particularly in the aspect of publishing information required from academic journals. Simultaneously, the author carried out an investigation of how the information elements are structured on those Web sites. She examined if the labelling of investigated internet content is consistent and compliant with the information structuring model assumed by the Academic Journals Platform, or whether there is much leeway left for the editorial board members in terms of content labelling.
