Summary/Abstract: The digital transformation changes the traditionally used business processes, increases the company's competitiveness, analyzes the needs of the customers and reduces the costs. The purpose of the article is to explore the need for digitalization of companies and the change of business models due to the introduction of new technologies. Through research and analysis of the opportunities provided by information technology, conclusions are presented regarding the application of digital strategies to increase competitiveness and change the overall development of companies. Based on the research, summaries are formed about the changes that will cause the digital transformation and the ways for its planning, implementation and measurement of the results.
