Summary/Abstract: The author in this paper considers students´ cognitive process in the teaching of Homeland study at the primary level of education.The Text has the character of expert statements. The considerations of the author can be described as a constructivistic. The article states supporting principles of that view on the basis of personal experience in teaching, but also from creation Homeland study textbooks for 2nd 3rd school year of primary education.
