Summary/Abstract: After a general view is taken of the gradual establishment of the constitutional justice in France, we can draw the conclusion that the intro- duction of the indirect constitutional appeal gives rise to a considerable change in both the political and the juridical practice. The Constitutional Council is definitely establishing itself as a body guaranteeing and stabilizing the ideal of the lawgoverned state. In conclusion, some general considerations are given regarding the fundamental change that could occur not only in constitutional law, but also in the whole legal system, taking into account the legal force of the decisions of the Constitutional Council.
