Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, knowledge is the most precious 'metal' - a gold mine. Knowledge research within the trends of cognitive upheaval and its positioning as a key function to sustainable development and programming should be more appreciated. The science has to endeavour on this bumpy road of research and critical thinking (interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach) on trends of cognitive upheaval in the framework of sustainable development programming, as well as on continuous and permanent knowledge hybridization (thus making it adaptable). All this is to be done in cooperation with the government, nongovernment sector, entrepreneurs and with all people willing to work and contribute (transdisciplinary approach). Science is to carry the burden of problems concerning implementation and development of trend of cognitive upheaval concept itself, as well as to suggest solutions to the problems, whereas Members of Parliament and the government should come up with the plan of creating legislature and economic background, including a positive atmosphere in order to make this happen.
