Summary/Abstract: Musical activities are popular with children and that is the reason of their common use in the educational process of nursery schools. However, they are often neglected as the tool to acquire rituals in children, thus we focus on them in the theoretical background and application part of our article. We focus on the acquisition of rituals connected with transition of a child from family to the nursery school using music activities with three- to six-year-old children in the nursery school of Nové Zámky In the theoretical background we depict the problem which is the basis for application of musical activities in acquisition of transition rituals to nursery school.
