Summary/Abstract: The author captures in this article two noteworthy events, which took place in Romania between1945-1947: the translation of the American general Schuyler’s diary (an edifying and important document for those years, relevant for the political and eclesiastical life in Romania) and the establishment of the mystical circle The “Burning Bush”, which brought together lay people and theologians, sharing their knowledge with each other, through various conferences, but also seeking to be initiated in the prayer of Jesus (a movement that continued clandestinely after 1950).
