Summary/Abstract: Conducting is an art, but, in the same time, a science. It assumes, beside talent aseries of knowing of specialty, directly tied of this profession, but even solid musicalknowing. To realize an authentic interpretation it should keep in mind the style ofthe century in which that piece was composed. An authentic interpretation cannotrealize if the master doesnʼt know the intentions of the composer, which he shouldput in practice. For this, there are absolutely necessary the analysis of the works: under literary, musical and vocal aspect. The relevance of the choir master in keepingand transmission of the Orthodox Church musical ethos is a reality with the churchidentifi es and which reveals one of the most important roles which has Church inpromoting the musical orthodox values in the divine worship. And to show thisreality with which the Church identifi es, it should analyses the personality of theconductor, in his complexity, as a decisive factor regarding the importance of theorthodox musical ethos of the Church.
