Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the subject of teaching a foreign language through translation. In this case, the foreign language is French, while the mother tongue is the Albanian language. Pedagogical translation is of particular importance in the development of students' abilities and in a better understanding of idiomatic locutions and expressions in both languages. The purpose of this paper is to highlight that foreign language translation and teaching in a communicative environment have many essential commonalities. Discovering the message in a foreign language text by understanding the words that constitute that language and adapting to context and situation, provide the learner the ability to express and convey messages based on different texts in the relevant language. To achieve this purpose, we visited a high school in Kumanovo, where we reviewed written papers of 15 students (translation: French-Albanian).
