Denominations of Pautaliaʼs Coins

Summary/Abstract: The coinage of the ancient Roman peregrine city of Ulpia Pautalia started at the very beginning of Emperor Antoninus Pius’ rule (138–161 AD) and ended during the independent reign of Emperor Caracalla (212–217 AD).During these eight decades, the city issued coins for seven princeps and the members of their families.The goal of this study is to find out the number and kinds of denominations Pautalia’s mint issued for each one of them.
