Summary/Abstract: The work of the French historian Bernard Lory is similar to an overview. It is dedicated to the notions built in Bulgarian historiography about the First World War and the country's participation in it. Emphasis is placed on changing the name of the events and their assessments, as well as the memorial presence of the war theme. At the same time, the study presents the view of a foreign author on one of the central historiographical motives for contemporary Bulgarian documentary and historiography.
