Summary/Abstract: It is unanimously accepted, in the past years, that the work-related stress represents a negative psychological state with cognitive and emotional elements and with effects over the health of the individual worker and his organization. The paper analyses the factors from the working environment that can cause stress, with emphasis on the symptoms of stress registered at individual level and organisational level. It also discusses the principles of the stress prevention at the place of work.
