Summary/Abstract: Based on the theoretical and pictorial legacy of Kazimierz Malewicz, The article, discusses the concept of museum memory and the work of art inspired by it. The context of the ideas of suprematism, that has matured this concept, is presented. The article consists of three parts. The first briefly introduces the development of the plastic system of suprematism towards conceptual models. The second part examines the problems of art ontology and perception of a work of art that inspired this development. Based on previous generalizations, the third part discusses the concept of museum memory and museum exhibit that reflects the late stage of the ideas of suprematism and the recidivation of “realistic painting” inspired by it. It is revealed how the belief in historical progress upon which early suprematism was based was replaced by the orientation towards a reality beyond time, inherent in late suprematism.
