Summary/Abstract: Paper presents three prominent areas of positive education and psychology of hope. First is student’s cognitive development, specifically Bloom’s and Anderson’s models, plus others. Second, self-regulation and self-regulated learning. Third, a program of humanization of a person: student’s non-cognitive development. In conclusion there is comparison of current state of education reform efforts in Slovakia versus trends in development of education systems in other countries.
