Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the possibilities of improving the quality of education through self- evaluation mechanisms. The paper also deals with the analysis of successful school systems which applies several auto-evaluation models. The subject of the content is also an explanation of the meaning of the word evaluation from the perspective of several authors.
