Summary/Abstract: An analysis of the university theological curriculum and the curriculum of religion as subject in secondary education highlights a wide range of approaches to the issue of family from early childhood to adulthood. By looking into the failure of young families where either one or both partners took religion classes in school, or even graduated from a theological school, we aim to identify its reasons and to propose viable educational solutions adapted to the new social realities. From our point of view, the starting point in such a process is to explore various proposals concerning the initial formation of future priests and religion teachers, which would contribute to the updating of the university curriculum in two ways: not only with developments in the educational area of the theological and lay (i.e. religion as school-taught subject) secondary education, but also in the liturgical area.
