Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the analysis of social development foundations in the world, which are defined by processes of the generation and education reproduction, technological skills as well as material conditions of the people existence. The social development manifests by different activities, i.a. intellectual, scientific, educational, cultural, religious, social, economic and ecological. Its goal is to respect the human dignity, the universality of freedom and social rights and to satisfy the existential, spiritual as well as cultural human needs. The analysis was preceded by an estimation of demographic processes in the most and in the less developed countries of the world. The analysis discovered a correlation between the dynamic of the person number, living condition and social development possibilities. The measure of analyzed processes was made using the Human Development Index (HDI), poverty indices as well as the Technology Achievement Index (TAI) which are taken into account in UNDP reports.
