From the History of the Petrino Family

Summary/Abstract: The Petrino aristocratic family had its roots in the province of Epirus, the Principality of Moldova, Bessarabia and Bukovina, and one of its representatives, Dimitrie Petrino, made its name in the nineteenth-century Romanian literature. It is a family of Macedonian-Romanian origin, displaced in Moldova from Capelevo near Ianina in Epirus. The following study focuses on the history and genealogy of the above mentioned family from 1816 until 1899.
