Summary/Abstract: The Portrait of the Bookseller Németh – an Unknown Artwork from the Early Creation of Székely Bertalan. The study presents an unknown portrait from the early years of Székely Bertalan’s creation. The arguments on which the identification of the painter and the sitter’s portrait were based are presented. Also, the context in which the portrait was painted at Brașov in 1856 is presented and data are provided on the personality of the model, Wilhem Németh, bookseller.
