Summary/Abstract: The incarnation and resurrection were supracosmic acts, but they took place in great discretion and kenosis, which means that the way God works to save the world is different from what would expect. "According to the Gospels, the saviour of the world, its ultimate hope, was born in winter, into a manger heated only by the breath of cattle. This is how the solution creeps sometimes into history: discreetly and miserably".
