Summary/Abstract: When celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first issueof the journal „Analele Dobrogei”, the present short research intends to illustrate the important role played by Constantin Brătescu in re-organising The Regional Museum of Dobruja. The programme of the „Dobrujan Cultural Society”, designed in 1920, included the journal and also a regional museum; both these objectives were achieved due to professor Brătescu’s substantial efforts. The approaches to the local authorities – Constanța Municipality – and National Museum of Antiquities in Bucharest, resulted in the opening of a small Dobrujan museum in the building in front of the Casino and an outdoor exhibition organized near Butchers’ Tower, a favourable foretaste of the later archaeological park.
