МЕТОДИ НА ЗАТВАРЯНЕ НА АПЕНДИКУЛАРНИЯ ЧУКАН ПРИ ЛАПАРОСКОПСКААПЕНДЕКТОМИЯ-ЕФЕКТИВНОСТ И БЕЗОПАСНОСТ
METHODS FOR APPENDICULAR STUMP CLOSURE IN LAPAROSCOPIC APPENDECTOMY -EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY

Summary/Abstract: In the contemporary treatment of the acute appendicitis, the laparoscopic appendectomy is becoming much more preferred operational method. In numerous centers, it is considered as gold standard for treatment of this pathology. One of the key moments in the laparoscopic appendectomy is the choice of method of closing the appendicular stump, as there are several main techniques.Purpose of our research is to examine the safety and the usefulness of the different minimally invasive methods of removal of the appendix and closing the appendicular stump.In the present abstract we examined the period from January 2013 to January 2018, for patients suffering from acute appendicitis, that we operated by mini-invasive techniques, in the Surgical Department of UMHAT ―Eurohospital Plovdiv‖. During this period of time, we operated 61 patients, as there were 3 conversions. From the performed laparoscopic appendectomies, 39 were on men and 22 on women. We used various main criteria for analyzing the received data: operational time, early and late complications, duration of the hospital stay. We consider the usage of Hem-o-lok clips as an efficient method for appendicular stump closure. Its application is easy and fully safe.
