Summary/Abstract: Social work is the totality of measures taken by the state, the Church and other bodies have the role of supporting people in special situations, who do not have human resources due to poor mental or physical condition, due to factors with negative influences, in this work I will present the contribution of the Orthodox Church to the development of social assistance programs.
