Iran’s Azerbaijan Strategy in the Axis of South Azerbaijan

Summary/Abstract: Iran tries to use its distinctive alternatives as a political tool in regions where its interestsexist. In this axis, it tries to embody itself implicitly on the basis of the South Caucasus;especially in the case of Azerbaijan. Albeit the ideology of Turkism/Azerbaijanism createsa sincere conflict between the two states, Iran aspires to establish its activity mostlythrough religion and ethnic identity factors on Azerbaijan. Therewithall, Iran’s politicalstrategy towards Azerbaijan originates from the South Azerbaijan issue which relates toIran’s internal problems. In this regard, Iran’s Azerbaijan strategy and case studies will beevaluated in the article
