Summary/Abstract: In metamodernity, the psychological science takes on a new outline, tending to adapt itself tothe spirit of an era that counts on pragmatism and involvement, on the ability to decipherpeople or events based on data with a direct output to reality, on the idea of reconstructingthe ego through inter-relational communication, on the ability to see things in all their depthand on the desire to establish an existential order in which all situations would actuallyexpress a unitary logic. Although it significantly distances itself from the experienceaccumulated in the postmodern era, the metamodern psychological science, given thatmetamodernity represents an extension of modernity and postmodernity, is not completelyisolated from what happened earlier. However, under the new historical conditions, what hasbeen earlier stated is, to a certain extent, preserved, such as: the existence of universal truths, the diversity and competition among paradigms, the presence of monolithic existential factors, the importance of socio-cultural norms, of economic determinations and of arbitrarylinguistic conventions, etc. In this way, the metamodern psychological science reproduces acomplex epistemological construction, whose originality is perfectly tuned with traditionality, while discontinuity - with the spirit of continuity, and classicity - with plenary anchoring in the contempory epoch.
