Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify the importance of gender in the translation accuracy, and to determine whether there is any difference between the translations achieved by women and men. Two English novels and two translations for each, one authored by a female translator and the other by a male translator were selected. The purpose of this comparison was to establish if gender influences translation in any way whatsoever.
