The Legal Character of Ordinances Issued by District Governors and Province Marshals

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the legal regulations concerning ordinances issued by district governors and province marshals. The legal nature of these acts is not homogeneous. They are sub-laws, which are mostly domestically applicable instruments. Under the current legal status ordinances issued by district governors and province marshals can be universally applicable instruments, which are binding in their local government units. The article also presents aspects of the supervision and control of these acts as performed by the voivode and administrative court.
