Summary/Abstract: Christmas is considered to be the most widespread and well-known event in the world. Billions of people are affected by it in one way or another, including Albanian Muslims in Vienna. This study explores the question of how Christmas is celebrated by Albanian Muslim families in Vienna. After asking what celebrating Christmas means to them, I examined which practices and experiences they associate with it and which factors play an important role among them. Using selected examples, this study shows how members of a religious minority deal with this religious or cultural event and give Christmas an important place in their lives. Regardless of their religious beliefs, people living in Vienna seem to inevitably come to terms with the event of Christmas.
