Summary/Abstract: In this article, information concerning the existence of primary and secondary nasal vowels in the dialects of the villages of Brashten and Tsrancha, Dospat region (in South-Western Bulgaria) is shown. These nasal vowels have so far remained unknown to dialectologists, and probably, they are relicts from the language of Cyril and Methodius. Besides, they are the only pure nasal vowels attested in Bulgarian dialects.
