Poetry that Leads to the Depths of Christian Philosophy of Life

Summary/Abstract: Theological subjects represented the most interesting contents of old Serbian literature and they continued to exist in Serbian civic poetry . Poetry enters the depths of christian thought; Evangelical subjects preoccupy the mind of the poet who perceive them aesthetically and convey them to the world of art. The meaning of Christian life on earth as well as life after death could be found in various literary genres. However, none of the literary genres leads to such depths as poetry does.
