Summary/Abstract: Anthropology, geography, as well as sociology, dedicate many studies and articles to the process of segregation. At the analytical level, the lack of a well-founded typology slows down research in this area. This clearly explains the difficulty of approaching this concept, whether due to its polysemous definition but also to its delicate measurement. In this study we will analyze the process of segregation in the urban environment, distinguishing between social segregation - emphasis on population and on social aspects and, on the other hand, spatial and geographic segregation.
