ENTREPRENEUR MANAGEMENT, ENTREPRENEUR MUNICIPALITY AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

Summary/Abstract: Entrepreneurship is an action to take action where resources are used economically. Entrepreneurial management is a management approach that aims to create new policies, analyze internal and external environment for existing opportunities, create an organization that aims to grow and make an effective vision and mission decision. Entrepreneurial management, which is mostly used in business management, is also on the agenda of the new public administration, which was created as an opposition to traditional management after the 1980s. The new public administration envisages opening up public services to the private sector and the use of private sector management techniques. The use of private sector management techniques makes the functioning of the administration effective and efficient, and the local development increases the speed. The most important task in ensuring this development falls on the municipalities, one of which is a local government.This study addresses the entrepreneurial management approach in local governments and examines the extent to which entrepreneurial management policies contribute to the development of the country. The study was limited to the municipalities, which are the local government units, and other local government units outside the municipalities were excluded from the border of the study. As a result of the study, it is understood that the entrepreneurial management approach contributes positively to the public administration and contributes greatly to the realization of the economic and social development in the country.
