Summary/Abstract: Mikhail Bulgakov’s cult novel The Master and Margarita, with its complex structure and its versatility genre-wise, is an inexhaustible impetus for consideration from various aspects. The topicality of The Master and Margarita in Macedonian literature and culture has lasted to this day. This paper attemptс to establish certain comparative relationships and tangents between the fantastic themes and motifs of Bulgakov’s novel and the works of certain contemporary Macedonian authors dedicated to literary fantasy. The emphasisis put on the novels Nevestata na zmejot (The Dragon’s Bride) by Vlada Uroševiḱ and Previd (Oversight) by Tanja Uroševiḱ.
