Summary/Abstract: The most important problem in Turkey in terms of electricity consumption is the illegal use of this energy. Illegal electricity consumption is seen mostly in Eastern and South-Eastern Regions of Turkey. This study aims to reveal the approaches displayed by the local communities while using. This study is prepared with 949 participants who are from the cities of Van, Bitlis and Muş which are the service areas of Vangölü electricity distribution company, and from the cities of Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa and Batman which are the service areas of Dicle electricity distribution company. It has been determined that individuals consuming illegal electricity use two new neutralization techniques.
