Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyse the relationship between Information and Communication Technologies Development Index (ICTDEV-I) and economic growth comparatively by panel data models. Panel data analysis is used to test the relationship between the index values of 79 countries considered in the ICTDEV-I calculation and economic growth in 2010-2016. Five different models are created to examine the relationship between the variables used in the analysis and economic growth. In the first model, fixed capital formation, labour and ICTDEV-I covering 79 countries are taken as independent variables. In the other four models, 79 countries were divided into four groups as upper, upper-middle, lower-middle and lower according to the ICT index values, and the effect of each group's ICT level on economic growth was analysed comparatively. According to the results, it is observed that there is a positive relationship between independent variables in Model 1, Model 2, Model 3 and Model 4 and the dependent variable of GDP per capita. It is concluded that the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable is statistically significant. In these models, the contribution of ICTDEV-I to GDP is consistent and positive.
