Summary/Abstract: The subject of this study is the Tev'em salary that is paid for twins or triplets in Ottoman Empire. This Tev'em salary had became widespread at the period of Abdulhamid II, but had been paid to needy families if they had certain conditions which includes having twins or triplets before his period, too. As a necessity of social state cognizance this salary which is paid to children of multiple pregnancy had been given to Ottoman vassal without no discrimination between Muslims and non-Muslims. In this study the questions like if the amount of this salary had been changed through years, if the amount of salary is same in every provinince,if the children had been taking this salary till a certain age, will be tried to answered on the example of Trabzon Provinince. The gathered information will be a better panaroma of the salary that is given to twins in Ottoman empire, when compared with other studies which investigate the Tev'emsalary in different provinences. To these purposes after scanning the data from Ottoman archives on the subject, with the help of document and case analysis method, the data that are gathered evaluated as chronologically. As one of the result of these evaluations, that is seen that Tev'em salaries in Trabzon Provinince had changed through years, and according to sanjaks. Also it is identified that there are no privillaged families like Sayyids and Sharifs among taking these salary but some of emigrant families, and it is seen that no age limit enforced for these salaries.
