Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyse geometric transformations of children in the early childhood period. The study utilised a case study to design one of the qualitative research methods. Interviews were conducted with 6-, 7- and 8-year-old children, in total 24 children, who were enrolled in a private pre-school and a primary school of the Ministry of National Education. Data obtained from the interviews conducted with the children were recorded on the computer as raw data. Then, appropriate themes and codes were formed using these data, and the data were subjected to content analysis. Results of this study showed that children began to improve comprehend topological transformations as their age levels increased, and the development occurred according to age. It is recommended that further studies should investigate how topological transformation develops at earlier ages in case it is supported in the early childhood period.
