This statement or the necessity of expression reveals the phenomenon of communication by becoming one of the important needs of human. Communication is not only verbal and written, but also a general concept that includes a symbolic language with deeper and philosophical meanings, indicators with unwritten law, customs. This situation also shows us the limitlessness of human intelligence’s ability to make sense explain and understanding things. Place also has a special place in the human understanding/interpretation efforts. It can be said that the name of the space and the way it is remembered first are based on memories, events and objects, as well as perceptions and memories about spaces also give them status. From this point of view, we can say that perceptions about place also give them a status. The reasons of this, these are narratives, which are usually called “gossip/rumour” go from language to language, both exaggerated and distorted. Today, gossip/rumour, which has gained a negative meaning, also has positive functions such as survival and gaining status. However, mostly the negative functions of gossip/rumour which were handled in a more human-oriented manner were focused on. But “gossip/rumour” could also be created around objects and places, giving meaning/meaninglessness and status/statuslessness objects and places in line with perceptions. Most importantly, this issue was not emphasized. Although gossip has a negative meaning today, it is an important communication mechanism that organizes and continues social and cultural life when examined carefully. This communication is not only in words, but also in different ways and concepts with the development of technology.
