Summary/Abstract: Traditional children's games generally have social development functions such as being able to act in a group, attitude against winning, attitude against losing, division of labor together, developing cooperation, and strategizing, as children generally come together and play together. In digital games that emerged with technological developments, the opportunity to play together on the same ground has disappeared. However, the online opportunity offered by the digital environment has created the opportunity to play together to a certain extent. Mobile games that emerged with the developing technology are products that meet the needs of children such as spending time, entertainment, rest and learning. In times when technological developments were not experienced, children who met these needs with traditional children's games started to spend time with technology and digital games. In this study, the contributions of traditional children's games to social development on children were determined, and social development areas in multiplayer online games offered to individuals with developing technology were evaluated. In the study, 5 games from different genres such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, eFootball PES 2021, Sea of Thieves, Need for Speed were included, and these games' starting and maintaining relationships among individuals, group business skills, emotions. related skills, ability to cope with stress situation, planning and problem solving skills were examined.
