Summary/Abstract: Local foods can play the leading role as an element of attraction in the exploration of the destinations by the visitors, in increasing the recognition and awareness of destinations, and for destination branding, and they can exist in the feelings and thoughts of the visitors. Within the scope of the study, the story of the ice cream business, which was transferred from father to son and composes the theme of the “Ice Cream, I Scream (Dondurmam Gaymak)” movie shot in the several locations of Muğla province such as Ula district, was tried to be examined from a gastronomy tourism perspective. A face-to-face and in-depth interview was held with Nasip Dondurma (Dondurmam Gaymak) enterprise, who continues production as the Third Generation, and due its unique structure, the subject was analyzed with a case study, one of the qualitative research methods, by considering the single sample design. In the study, under the relevant literature title, local foods in destination branding, and ice cream as a gastronomic value and its history were tried to be explained, subsequently, the findings obtained from the field were included and the study was completed with the conclusion and recommendations section. In the research, it has been observed that Nasip Dondurma (Dondurmam Gaymak) enterprise has contributed to the increase in the number of visitors to Ula with the effect of the movie “Dondurmam Gaymak” the promotion of the region and also the start of gastronomy tourism with its emphasis on local flavor, and thus contributed to the region in social, cultural and economic terms.
