Summary/Abstract: The divisions and severing of Macedonian territories, as well as the forced and existential migrations of a huge part of the Macedonian population led to the creation of literature outside their home country in proportions not typical for other peoples. Macedonian literature created outside the countryís borders, despite its quantity and the wide geographic distribution, still seems to not recognize the concepts of exile and globalism. The creators of Macedonian literature creating outside their home country above all cherish the ethnic values and remain in an intimate relationship with their fatherland. Irrespective of the fact whether they write in Macedonian, which is more common in those creating in the more distant countries; or in the language in which they received their education, for those creating in the neighbouring countries; they form a close bond with their fatherland and remain in touch with the literature created in the Republic in Macedonia in the second half of the XX and the beginning of the XXI century.
