The Concept of Spirituality in the Tradition of Polish Secular Pedagogical Thought

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the variety of meanings associated with the concept of spirituality. It shows several characteristic definitions, which have been critically analysed in the context of Nawroczyński’s pedagogy of culture. Spirituality analysed from a secular, scientific perspective seems not only more universal, but also free from the limitations of theonomic approaches. The broadest concept of spirituality is the concept of spiritual community, which is open to the multitude of content and forms that can fill it.
