Traveling to the Country of Romanians – an Ethno Journalistic Incoursion into the Timoc Valley

Summary/Abstract: My study aims to emphasize the ethnic, cultural and religious aspects existing today in Serbian and Bulgarian Timoc, with a significant detailing of the identity marks of material culture belonging to the Romanians from the Timoc Valley. The purpose of this study is to define the specificity of the folk culture of Timoc, manifested in the areas in which they live, as an integral part of the traditional Romanian civilization. We will take as a starting point the travel journal entitled Traveling to the country of Romanians, published in 1999, in order to move our steps towards the reality of our days.
