Summary/Abstract: The article presents the relationship between the EU regulations on passenger protection and the provisions of international conventions regulating contracts of carriage in particular modes of transport, to which the EU regulations refer. The author indicates the complexity of such a system and the various ways in which the provisions contained in EU regulations are linked to international law, as well as the consequences of the solutions adopted. The limited framework of the article allows only to outline the topic.
