Summary/Abstract: Most of the former anarchists in the Czech lands joined the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in two waves. The radical ones around Stanislav Kostka Neumann were involved in its foundation, but they were only a small minority compared to the left-wing Social Democrats. The majority of the former anarchist movement led by Bohuslav Vrbenský merged with the Communist Party later, in 1925. There are specific reasons and an inner logic behind this almost complete organisational dissolution of Czech anarchism and its merger with the Communist Party.
